The Glenelg Surf Life Saving Club was announced as the 2010, 2008 and 2007 SA Surf Life Saving Club of the Year

Glenelg SLSC is located at the foreshore of Adelaide's local beach at Glenelg, just 12KM from the CBD. With stunning uninterupted views over the Glenelg foreshore, Jetty and stunning sunsets its the place to be.

Glenelg SLSC has a great and proud history of Surf Life Saving in South Australia. Our club was inaugurated in the early depression years by a group of young men, who, whilst unemployed, felt their services could be of assistance to the beach going public. At a meeting on the beach in 1931 this group of young men joined together and decided to form a Life Saving Club.

Club membership is always growing and we are seeking members to assist with the numerous activities which go into running a surf lifesaving club. From patrols, education, juniors, sport through to the administration, fundraising, sponsorship and social activities to list just a few. We ensure that there is plenty of time during training, patrols and activities to take inthe glorious surrounds.

Many members come from the local and surrounding areas, but also from as far away as Two Wells and Pt Elliot. Now is a great time to get involved and be part of the exciting times ahead. Both our social and surf lifesaving  member base is growing rapidly, come along and be part of the Glenelg SLSC family!
