RE: GSLSC WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK (WWCC)

Dear Members,

People working or volunteering with children in South Australia, must by law, have a Working with Children Check. To comply with this law, it is mandatory for all Club members and junior parents aged 14 and over to supply a current or, complete a new Working with Children Check (WWCC) as part of their membership at no cost,

Members who are in certain roles will also require a National Police Clearance (NPC) these members will be contacted in the following weeks regarding their roles and the NPC

Members who hold a current WWCC

Members who do Not hold a current WWCC – 18 years and over

  • Fill out the survey link https://forms.gle/8uNp6RbJs8k7HfeKA with the required information
  • Once done, the info is returned to the Club, where they can then apply for a check on your behalf
  • An email from DHS screening unit will be sent directly to you within a few weeks
  • Complete online the required information and complete by providing your 100 Points of ID
  • The Club will approve this via the online DHS system as a linked member
  • Your WWCC application will be processed for you
  • Once obtained, forward your WWCC number and expiry to secretary@glenelgslsc.com.au

Do Not Hold a current WWCC – 14 years to 17 years

  • Fill out the survey link https://forms.gle/8uNp6RbJs8k7HfeKA with the required information
  • Once done, the info is returned to the Club where they can then apply for a check on your behalf
  • This will trigger an email from DHS screening unit sent directly to you within a few weeks
  • Complete online the required information
  • Print the application and visit a verifying officer (police officer, justice of the peace) who will verify your identify - be sure to bring 100 points of ID!
  • Take a photo or scan the whole document and email to dhsscreeningunit@sa.gov.au
  • Your WWCC application will be processed for you
  • Once obtained, forward your WWCC number and expiry to secretary@glenelgslsc.com.au

RE: GSLSC WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK (WWCC)

Dear Staff

Staff working in South Australia, must by law, have a Working with Children Check and a National Police Clearance (NPC). To comply with this law, it is mandatory for all staff aged 13 and over to supply an Employment Working with Children Check and NPC.

The Employment Working with Children Check is different to the volunteer check and takes priority over the WWCC volunteer check. That means you can use your Employment WWC for your Volunteer WWC as part of your membership. The Club will enter your WWCC details into the applicable WWCC Club systems for you.

Employees 18 years and over

Employment Working With Children Check – 18 years and over

  • Please fill in the survey gle/udsxA3LrSeWDeZYT7 where the information is required for the Club to apply for a check on your behalf.
  • Over the coming weeks you will receive an email with a login inviting you to complete your application via the DCSI site.
  • Complete online any information needed using 100 Points of ID
  • The Club will approve this via the online DHS system as a linked member
  • Your WWCC application will be processed for you
  • Forward your Employment WWCC number to the Project Co-ordinator warnejosh70@gmail.com

National Police Clearance (NPC) – 18 years and over

  • Please complete your online application auspost.com.au
  • Pay the application fee of $52.00. Existing employees will be completely reimbursed by the Club once the NPC details have been received.
  • You will receive an email with the NPC details (remember to check your junk folder). Email your NPC reference number with your full legal name to Josh Warne - warnejosh70@gmail.com
  • To be reimbursed for the NPC please forward the receipt to Josh Warne.- warnejosh70@gmail.com

Employees 13 – 17 years

Employment Working With Children Check – 13 to 17 years

  • Please fill in the survey form gle/udsxA3LrSeWDeZYT7 where the information is required for the Club to apply for a check on your behalf.
  • Over the coming weeks you will receive an email with a login inviting you to complete your application via the DCSI site.
  • Complete online any information required
  • Print the form (if you do not have access to a printer contact Josh Warne)
  • See a verifying officer (police, justice of the peace) to confirm your ID – bring 100 points of ID with you
  • Once the ID verification is completed, scan the form and email to warnejosh70@gmail.com
  • Or return the form to the pigeonhole in the office “STAFF WWCC – CONFIDENTIAL”
  • The Club will approve and submit your application
  • Once received, forward your Employment WWCC number and expiry to warnejosh70@gmail.com
  • Your Employment WWCC will be linked to the Clubs Volunteer WWCC

 National Police Check (NPC) – 13 to 17 years

  • Please complete your online application afp.gov.au/what-we-do/services/criminal-records/national-police-checks
  • Your parent / guardian will be required to authorise
  • Pay the application fee of $42.00. Existing employees will be completely reimbursed by the Club once the NPC details have been received.
  • You will receive an email with NPC details (remember to check your junk folder). Email your NPC reference number with your full legal name to Josh Warne - warnejosh70@gmail.com

 Reimbursement Process

  •  To be reimbursed for the NPC please forward the original receipt or a clear photo to Josh Warne.- warnejosh70@gmail.com
