Our Mission (Our reason for being)
Our mission is to promote beach safety awareness and professional water lifesaving standards and in doing so prevent injury and loss of life on Glenelg beach.
We accomplish our mission through public education, preventative strategies, rescue, junior lifesaving programs, training programs, exchange programs, competition and other means.
Glenelg Surf Life Saving Club will be proactive in embracing a leadership role in the education, preventive and rescue areas so as to provide support to, and be a valued partner to the members, community, families and the Club.

To be successful in all aspects of our operations including Education, Prevention, Rescue and Competition.
To be financially successful in all areas providing sustainable income streams to support all areas of the Glenelg SLSC.

Respect for People
We value our diversity as a source of strength, and we are proud of Glenelg SLSC's history of treating people with respect and dignity, recognising that all are individuals.
We are deeply committed to meeting the needs of our customers, being the members, families, community and other supporters (eg government - state, local and federal), and we constantly focus on satisfaction.
We have an active role in making the community in which we operate a better place to live, learn and work, knowing that the opportunities we provide to members and the community has a direct impact.

1. To provide leadership to effectively and cohesively manage the development of policy, resources and personnel pertaining to operations of the Glenelg SLSC.
2. Provide best practice lifesaving services.
3. To develop, deliver and maintain best practice in education and training, including coaching and competition.
4. To ensure financial stability and growth of Glenelg SLSC
