Coaching Coordinator

The Club has created a new position title Coaching Coordinator. Interested persons are asked to put in an expression of interest by the 6 January to the  Club Secretary.

POSITION: Coaching Coordinator

RESPONSIBLE TO:  Competition Officer and Club Captain

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The specific objective of this position is to facilitate, manage and support the coaching structures of the Glenelg Surf Life Saving Club. The outcome from this will be to support section leaders and members in delivering coaching programs to athletes, beginners and coaches.

POSITION ROLE:

The role of the club coaching coordinator is a pivotal role in the surf lifesaving club environment, which is designed to assist in the support and continual development of coaches and leaders.

The club coaching coordinator is a liaison between the club committee, club coaches, SLSSA and other surf lifesaving stake holders including other sports aligned with the organisation ie rowing, kayaking, track running, pool swimming.

The implementation of this position is essential in further increasing club development and improving the standard of conduct and performance by coaches and their athletes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Coaching Co-ordinator is responsible for the management of the club's coaching program and promoting the value of coaching within the club.
