Board training is now Saturdays at 11am with Laura-May and Kate Curtis, please meet on the grass area out front of club.

If you have a wetsuit and longsleeve rashie they come in very handy..

Members Handbook

Is a great source of information for all members and interested parties. The booklet provides details of training sessions and award structures necessary in participating in the junior activities. Please feel free to read through, its important you and your children are aware of their requirements.

The Members Handbook is available at the beginning of each season.

Junior Program

Glenelg SLSC is a family based club that values junior members as an integral part of the development of youth within the club as future active life savers.

The junior program begins at the age of five as a "Tiny Tot" and continues their development as a seven year old through to the age of thirteen as "Nippers".

The aims of Glenelg SLSC Junior Program are to:

·          Develop surf awareness;

·          Increase confidence and skills in beach related activities;

·          Offer training to those wanting to pursue competition and awards;

·          Instil and reinforce SunSmart philosophies;

·          Encourage enjoyable and health participation;

·          Progress members towards surf awards for relevant age groups;

·          Promote a positive and non threatening environment.

Junior Activities

The Junior training program is conducted weekly on Saturday afternoon beginning at 1:30pm - 4pm for the Under 8 to Under 14 age groups. The Under 7 age group finish at 3.15pm.

Activities are held on the beach are designed to introduce and develop the necessary skills for the required of junior surf life savers.

Associated with the regular training program is specialist training programs designed to develop the skills necessary for competition.  The times for these programs are listed below.

Our Junior Section is made up of volunteers and we are always in need of more people to assist. If you are interested in helping out for the coming season please let us know. Whether is be on the Junior Committee, Age Group Leader or Assistant, Cooking BBQ, towing gear trailer to carnivals, coaching.
