Swim

The Glenelg SLSC offers all members professional training squads. These squads are filled with people that have achieved great amounts of individual success, and have joined others to achieve in team events. Our squads hold members that have gone on to compete and win medals at the Australian Surf Life Saving Championships.

All members that desire to train within training squads are encouraged and looked after. Quality equipment and well prepared sessions are provided to assist learning progress. A coach oversees every session and will provide technique assistance if required. 

You don't have to be a champion swimmer.  Sessions cater for all abilities, so don't be shy, just come on down.  Join Peter Armstrong in the slow lane, or try and catch "superfish" Matthew Gardner in the fast lane.

Don't forget the "Klemich Real Estate" weekly club swim every saturday at 4:05pm sharp in the Summer.  The record so far is 97 members on Saturday 11th November 2006.  The club swim is proudly sponsored by Patrick Haymes from Klemich Real Estate, and prizes are awarded weekly.

  

 

Club Swims

The regular club swim is fast approaching and will recommence on October 16th 2010.  The swim will be held at 4:05 sharp.  Early swims will be proficiency swims (run,swim,run), with handicap swims commencing before Christmas.  As usual the coveted club swim awards will be hotly contested, but the swim is all about participation.
