Overview / Description
The Glenelg SLSC offers all members professional training squads. These squads/crews are filled with people that have achieved great amounts of success, and have joined others to achieve in team events. Our squads hold members that have gone on to compete and win medals at the Australian Surf Life Saving Championships.
All members that desire to train within training squads are encouraged and train on quality equipment and are coached at well prepared sessions to provided and assist the learning and development progress. A coach (Senior Sweep) oversees every session and will provide technique assistance.

Upcoming Events / Important Dates
Interstate trips to compete in the Manly and Freshwater Australia Day Carnival, NSW, Lorne, VIC, and in Bouwlee, NSW. The Navy Series team representatives have been able to experience the surf culture of the East Coast and gain valuable racing and big wave experience.
The mateship one gains from being a surf lifesaver and a competitor is totally invaluable. This being one of the most important facets of being a surf boat rower. Winter training is focussed on strength work but squads are rowing at least once a week.
