Club Awards Night

The awards night was held on the 23rd May. Congratulations to all new award holders, great to see all the new Bronze and Surf Rescue members who attended.

Glenelg Beach on Coastal Watch

See camera images of Glenelg Beach on the Coastal Watch website.  There is a camera positioned on the roof of the GSLSC and it give a great view of the beach looking North and South.  There's a Live Camera feed or you can see various Live Still shots.

Beach Team Training

Is currently underway twice weekly, working on running and core strength. Times not always consistent but generally on Thursdays from 5:30pm.  If your keen, speak to Luke Hildyard on 8376-1846 for days and times.

Australian Surf Rowers League Dinner

The annual State Boaties Dinner is coming up on the 4th July at Glenelg SLSC. If you wish to come along we have booked for about 20 people so far. $40.00 per person includes dinner and some drinks. See Greg Daw for any details and tickets greg@phantomscreens.com.au our boaties are featured in a few of the major awards and presentations.

State Awards Function

Surf Life Saving SA (SLSSA) Awards of Excellence was conducted at Somerton on 24th May.

The Glenelg SLSC was recognised with:

  • Chris Alagich and Alex Carr being recognised with Bravery Awards
  • Liam Clifford being announced as Under 15 Champion
  • Lisa Harvey receiving a State Presidents Award of Excellence
  • Brenton Quimby receiving a State Presidents Award of Excellence
  • Liam Clifford being announced as Under 15 Champion
  • Glenelg Boat Crew announced as Combined Boat Trophy Winners
